THE GRAPES OF WRATH Film Tour

The Robinson Film Center produced a“film tour” of the The Grapes of Wrath to be viewed in both indoor and outdoor venues across North Louisiana.  The Robinson Film Center is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit arts organization based in Shreveport, LA whose mission is to provide a venue for independent, international, and classic cinema while serving as a resource for film production and media education.

Dr. Jefferson Hendricks, Professor at Centenary College of Louisiana, provided an introduction to frame the movie in context including, where John Ford, Henry Fonda, etc. were in their careers, how the movie was telling a contemporary story based on a controversial best-seller, and shared things to look out for in the movie as it differs from the book.  To learn more about the Robinson Film Center go to http://robinsonfilmcenter.org.
