The North Louisiana Cultural Community will create a tapestry of the art of hard times by producing and presenting works which educate, document, preserve, and promote the resilience of the people, places, and culture of the Great Depression. These works will recognize those who endured that era.

Dr. Susan Shillinglaw is a professor of English at San Jose State University and Scholar-in-Residence at the National Steinbeck Center in Salinas.
James V. Hart, prolific screenwriter and novelist has written many successful movies such as HOOK, TUCK EVERLASTING, SAHARA and CONTACT.
Patrick Long, founder of Storyteller Pictures, produces documentary programs of the highest journalistic integrity and respect for their subjects.
Dee Scallon, beloved Louisiana children’s story writer and renowned for her teaching her students to write and illustrate thematic books.
Neil Johnson, a Shreveport native, has produced, written, and photo-illustrated 14 children’s book and has produced two coffee table photography books.
Brad Arendor, Southern-born and raised, has set himself apart as a photographic artist by merging new techniques with the organic beauty of candid moments in the world around us.
Scarlett Hendricks sees photography as an art form that is vital to helping us to remember the past and enables that past to live forever.
Jeannine Pasini Beekman, a professional storyteller that is known throughout the country for her wit, passion and integrity of her work. Creating under Jeannine’s director are three regionally recognized storytellers: Myra Davis, Thelma Harrison and Angelique Feaster.
Adrienne Hooker is a tenure-track assistant professor of art in communication design at Louisiana Tech University and a partner at Studio Wan-ker, LLC, a design services and consultation company.
The Robinson Film Center is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit arts organization based in Shreveport, LA whose mission is to provide a venue for independent, international, and classic cinema while serving as a resource for film production and media education.
